All motor manufactures recommend the lower unit fluids and oil be serviced and changed at least once a year. Failure to do so could lead to missing a problem with the outer seal. A failure that may not be covered by warranty. A failure that could cost the boater thousands of dollars.
If the lower unit service is done when it should be done during winterization, it should only add a few dollars to the cost........ It is NOT something that should be done on a lift It is not something that should be put off until next season. Do it now and have it done by someone who know what they are doing....
